St. Mary's Church, built in 1850 on the estate of the Earl of Morton, is situated on the A71 between Edinburgh and Livingston in the grounds of the Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club at postcode EH27 8EB. Click here for a map and details of how to get to Dalmahoy from Edinburgh and Livingston by car. The location of the main door can be found at ///sideboard.slimy.stream. Toilet facilities (including disabled) are available in the church hall, and there is a large car park adjoining. The church is on the Lothian Country X27/X28 and First X22 bus routes between Edinburgh and Livingston, which stops outside the hotel gates. I provide a public transport journey planner below.
The organ is a standard two-manual mechanical action instrument by David Hamilton of Edinburgh ca.1830/40, and fully refurbished in 2009 by Henry Willis and Sons, Ltd. It has been played by international concert artists Carlo Curley (twice) and Carol Williams, and the Greek organist, Eleni Keventsidou. Links
